NAIJA!...MIND YOU

"When you connect to the silence within you, that is when you can make sense of the disturbance going on around you”... Stephen Richards British Author.

Our Minds are definitely boxed

Vision is an incredibly powerful phenomenon; it helps you see what your natural eyes cannot comprehend. Vision comes to your mind, and is indulged by the capacity of your imagination.
Our minds however are too occupied with noise and worry so much that we have not been able to realize that our nose is underneath our very nose.

A majority of the Nigerian population are plagued with illiteracy, poverty, injustice, exploitation, slavery and oppression from all sides, so mush it seems the people are looking for the sun while facing downwards.
This has depleted the tendency of optimum creativity, which is of course bourne of a mind in a state of harmony.

However, all the listed negatives are not an excuse for not living the good life, even the Holy Bible advices us in Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” meaning that we shouldn’t allow negative circumstances deter us from sticking to our vision for our desired future, and that we should have an open mind to acquiring new knowledge.

“They are not human resources. They are resourceful humans”…Venkat Kumaresan. An Author, Public Speaker and Poet.

Human Resource

Isn’t it expeditiously obvious that a nation is great only to the degree of the exposure, enlightenment, goodness, open-mindedness, initiative, virtue and intelligence of her people?
No nation is perfect, but their survival, dignity and integrity depends on them sharing a common truth and mission, with justice, equity and untainted goodwill towards all.
Just as they say that the mind is a terrible thing to waste, the worst thing any nation can do is to under-estimate the potentials of her people.
The populace of any nation is as useful and productive to their nation to the degree to which the nation provides support through welfare and infrastructure to help amplify their talents and actions.

“In my experience, the most staunchly held views are based on ignorance or accepted dogma, not carefully considered accumulations of facts. The more you expose the intricacies and realities of the situation, the less clear-cut things become”…Mary Roach (1959 - ) American Author specializing in popular science and humour.

Dogma

Africa has been considered the poorest continent for many years, despite the fact that She boasts of a strong populace and vast mineral resources such as Oil, Diamonds, Gold, Bitumen, Tin and so much more. The attributed poverty exists because the enlightened Africans in power chose to betray their people into modern slavery for their selfish gains.
They have oppressed and suppressed their people with hunger, lack and illiteracy so that they can control them like dictators, a move which is far from sustainable.
My point here is that, this cheap move of tyrants in high places is a way of altering the eco system.

The wrong and unqualified people when in power allow the people suffer and diminish the tendency of prosperity. The status quo becomes infectious, and forces the oppressed people to trod on the weaker of them, causing untold chaos and a bleak future.

“The outer world is a reflection of the inner world. Other people’s perception of you is a reflection of them; your response to them is an awareness of you”…Roy T. Bernnett. Author of The Light in the Heart.

The Ultimate Awareness

Discovery of self and helping others also find their voices have been attributed to being the climax of the possible achievements of mankind because of the hard work, demonstration of love and the sacrifice it entails.
No human can ever be truly happy unless he or she does something for at least one person. Even bad guys are nice to some people one way or another.

For Nigeria and Africa to be great indeed, her citizens and residents alike must strive to help her become a better place by them not just doing good, but also by practically living a virtuous life deliberately. Initiatives that will guaranty education for all should be implemented. Justice must prevail upon the top shots that divert resources meant to build the people and their infrastructure.

Every citizen and resident alike must be treated like a human being regardless of his or her status, otherwise we are all in a child’s play kingdom.
Our minds are very powerful, and so are we, and if we do not speak out as an intelligent and self-aware population with one loud voice we will not be heard, talk more being listened to, and posterity will judge us aright.

God bless Nigeria, Africa, and the world!

Thank you, and be awesome because you truly are.

CONTENT! WHAT IS INSIDE?

"It’s not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are”... Roy Disney (1893-1971) Co-founder of  The Walt Disney company.

Your Thoughts

Beware of your thoughts they say, for it will eventually culminate into your destiny, therefore it’s a no brainer that we are of course products of our environment, directly or indirectly. So are we comfortable with who we currently are, or do we aspire better ways to live with ourselves, considering the damage we have done to the environment, and worst still, ourselves?

How fantastic we humans are cannot be overemphasized, the human brain has never stopped evolving even after the apparent pause of all other human attributes. This is why we have all collectively survived this harsh world by adapting to it and reinventing ourselves with the required level of knowledge, skill and co-operation. Not until recently, when the historically deep seeded code of human interaction and co-existence was tampered with by personal greed bourne of discontent, a group of corrupt minds with ill will, myopic sight and misplaced values have withdrawn their loyalty like a Judas in every twelve does, seeking to betray us all, an action which has caused our ever peaceful world to hang in a balance.

“It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society”…Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895-1986) Indian Philosopher and Teacher.

Your Actions

Impossible is nothing, especially when you set your mind to tasks that are indeed higher than your reach, yet you believe that it can be done, affecting your environment with your faith. It has been discovered that the people keep quiet for evil to thrive not due to their cowardice, but because they do not realize how much power they possess. They need to be reminded that the power of the people outweighs that of the people in power, the power that they gave them. However, in the face of tyranny, the moment the citizens fail to complain in an organized and documented fashion where the actions can be recorded for future reference and as evidence, then they have consented to the wrongs by oppressors, and they carry on business as usual. The citizens, with substance in their hands and tenable inclusive material, which intelligently states the wants of the people should be their joint mission.
This is why talents that can yield to discoveries and inventions that can sustain the economy should be prioritized over celebrity shows, in as much as that is where the direction the mind of the average youth tends to follow, but all they need is guidance, and a reason to believe it is sustainable.

“Tell me what you pay attention to and I will tell you who you are”…Jose Ortega Y. Gasset (1883-1955) Spanish Philosopher and Essayist.

Love Thy Neighbour

An average African doesn’t know what love is, they were not brought up with practicing and professing love, this is why many of them cannot show love, nor is capable of being loved.

This is why leaders of African countries will rather give themselves the best things that life has to offer at the expense of the lives and wellbeing of their citizens.
When the leaders travel abroad for medicals, send their children abroad for education, pray abroad, go on luxury vacations and buy everything they need abroad, what they did is alter the eco system by sinking the brand of their home country by making a bold statement to the world that:
“I DON’T BELIEVE IN MY PEOPLE AND THEY CAN NEVER GET BETTER” but they fail to realize that the world also sees:
“I AM A TERRIBLE LEADER, I CAN’T INSPIRE MY PEOPLE TO GREATNESS”.
At this point I believe it is safe to say that though our leaders are a reflection of who we the citizens are, still we need a more intelligent union that will fight for causes higher than the minimum wage.
Believe it or not, when the Western world came to Africa, they met slavery on ground, they only exploited the situation when our leaders back then betrayed our forefathers and sold them for cheap.
To prove this assertion, apart from the actual slave camps that are being discovered even this present day, the current leaders still treat the citizens like slaves by depriving the masses good standard of living, while they waste the hard earned resources on superficialities and lives of vanity that only the poor in heart will venture into.
So the question remains, what is inside of us really?

God bless Nigeria, Africa, and the world!

Thank you, and be awesome because you truly are.

NAIJA! STATE OF THE NATION

"Any Government that takes profit before people is pure evil”... Suzy Kassem

Fire On The Mountain!

By the time you have succeeded in comparing the level of advancement of developed nations to that of Africa and you do not have a culture shock mentality, you might not have the luxury of time to congratulate yourself for being sane and being one of the lucky ones who can even read this blog post, because the problem of comprehending the mental picture has just very well started for you.
But do you know why though? Its because you know that there is a huge collection of problems in our hands, which of course directly and indirectly affects the entire world in general, and worst still, there is a lot of hypocrisy, obscuring of truth of what is really happening, lack of clarity of what occurs, and sabotage of solutions, if at all there exists will power to solve the problems that abound in the first place, safe to say there is a huge fire on the mountain top literally.

“If achieving world peace and ending poverty were really genuine concerns of the majority, then they would have happened already by now…Every problem on earth today has more than one solution. However priorities are determined by values”…Suzy Kassem

Power to the people

The government is made up of the people by the people and for the people, therefore the power belongs to the people, but unfortunately some people with privilege feel and display superiority over the same people they were in the trenches with and treat them like trash, thus altering the eco system by violating an age long human code, upon which the collective survival of the human race is dependent upon, and now there is crisis and rancor virtually everywhere.

“People usually confuse leadership with managerial skills”…Sylvain Neuvel

The Sleeping Giant.

No doubt Africa is a sleeping giant, slumbering so much that her environment caves in by the day while passers by marvel at the massive free for all feasts they self help to by the minute.

“To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men”…Abraham Lincoln

A Stone at the Market

In this world we all are connected and indirectly related, that’s why a school of thought agrees with the notion that everything goes into everything, and by implication when we hurt other people, we indirectly hurt ourselves and vice versa. Yet we hurt ourselves by prioritizing the good things for ourselves and leave the less privileged people to suffer or even die for our mistakes or we sacrifice them so that we are comfortable, but what if the tables were turned and they had the power to make a choice, do you think they would throw us under the proverbial bus? A Yoruba adage says ‘If you throw a stone at the market, it may hit your relative or friend’ remember that we are all related though.

“The only thing necessary for triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”…Edmund Burke

Oppressed to the limit.

Now, coming down to earth, what is really going on with us all, where is the love? We mortgage the future of our families and friends for money or the company bottom line.
What is the government doing about fake drugs and junk manufacturers that cause cancers, sugary products that cause diabetes, addictive gadgets that depletes relationships, flawed education that locks students in debts and whips their creative mentalities?

What is the government doing about illiteracy, hunger and poverty of the mind of her people that deep in their hearts are good? Does the government know that she shortchanges herself when she has refused to provide basic amenities and supportive infrastructure for her people in order for them to concentrate on their core competencies and use their skills to in return support the government, make her proud, reduce crime and even pay taxes and perform social responsibilities?
It is damaging to the fabric of the mentality of the people to see privileged politicians ascribe to much importance to wealth without integrity whilst they oppress the people who are being abused by deprived law enforcers, robbed, raped, kidnapped, murdered indiscriminately without any criminal being brought to book.
When the people lose faith in the government of the day, then the leaders will surely have no legacy to leave behind, and their names shall surely fade away with time.

God bless Nigeria, Africa, and the world!

Thank you, and be awesome because you truly are.
